About

Pocket Verdict started as a shared notes file between three friends who kept texting each other 'you have to try this game'. At some point the list got too long, so we turned it into a site. Nothing corporate here — just people who genuinely enjoy poking at odd little mobile releases.

We only cover games we've installed and played for real. No press-kit copy-paste, no scores handed out before we've finished a level. Somebody on the team spends a few evenings with each title, takes notes, complains loudly if the controls are bad, and then writes it up.

How we pick what to review: we watch indie forums, browse the 'new' shelves, follow small studios, and take reader suggestions. Big-budget releases already have plenty of coverage, so we lean toward the underdogs — the games one or two people made in their spare time.

We're not here to be gatekeepers. A game can be rough around the edges and still be a joy. Our job is to tell you what it feels like to actually play it, so you can decide for yourself.
