Lucky Coin

Lucky Coin is one of those games that looks almost too simple in a screenshot, then quietly eats an entire afternoon. You control a small coin that rolls, bounces and flips through short handcrafted stages. The whole thing is built around momentum: tap to hop, hold to charge a bigger jump, and tilt your phone gently to steer while you're airborne. It reads as easy in the first few levels and then starts asking for real precision.

What surprised me was how expressive that single coin becomes. Later stages add spinning gears, sticky honey patches and little wind gusts that push you off course, so you're constantly adjusting your timing. There's no timer breathing down your neck, which makes it feel relaxed even when a level is genuinely tricky. Each world has its own soft color palette and a gentle chiptune loop that never got on my nerves.

Progress is generous — you collect small star markers scattered around each stage, but you're never forced to grab all of them to move on. That takes the pressure off and lets you play for the pure feel of the movement. It's a great pick-up-and-put-down game, and the controls are responsive enough that missed jumps always felt like my fault, not the game's.
